How we are different from other surrogacy agencies

Hope through surrogacy was created by an Intended Parent and her Surrogate. Having gone through the journey, together, and encountered problems along the way, we want to give hope to others like us for a better journey.

What is the surrogate process?

1

Legality

On February 16, 2021, surrogacy became legal in New York. Entitled the Child-Parent Security Act, New York became the first state to license surrogacy agencies. Furthermore, as of the enactment date, New York became the best state to be a surrogate because of the legal protections provided to surrogates.

2

Qualification

The qualifications are listed to the right. However, please understand the surrogacy process first before you decide to embark on a journey. Feel free to speak to our surrogates to hear first hand what the entire process will entail.

3

Application

Once you find you are qualified and ready to become a surrogate, you can submit an application to us that will require more details about your medical history, personal background, and your motivation for becoming a surrogate.

4

Screen

If you are selected candidate, you will be asked to do a physical exam, a mental health evaluation, and background/credit checks to become a cleared surrogate.

5

Match with intended parents

We only take intended parents that have themselves been screened and are seeking a surrogate out of need and not by choice. We will strive to match you as soon as possible after you have been cleared, but matching may take several months.

6

Legal agreement

Upon matching, we will retain independent legal counsel for you to review and enter into a legal surrogacy agreement. This agreement clarifies:

7

Insurance

Before any treatment for embryo transfer, you will be provided with a life insurance policy of at least $750,000 to last until 12 months after childbirth and be confirmed with medical insurance coverage to cover all costs up to 12 months after childbirth.

8

Pregnancy

The intended parent’s embryo is transferred into your uterus through the process called in vitro fertilization (IVF). Once pregnancy is confirmed and you are released from the monitoring of the IVF doctor, you will be cared for by the OB/GYN of your choice.

9

Birth of baby

During the pregnancy and with your cooperation, the Intended Parent will have already filed a petition for a parentage order. Upon the birth of the child, the Intended Parents can take the child home.
